This week’s blog is all about the photo…of the dog. Because everyone seems to enjoy his weekly updates of the larger rug I’ve been working on since early January. Here’s this week’s:
For those who are wondering, Tynan is an almost 9-year-old Welsh springer spaniel. (His birthday is next month.) Some of you might notice that he’s looking a lot less scruffy in this pic; he got a haircut just yesterday. He’s become fond of demonstrating how much dogs (and even cats) love hand-hooked rugs. In fact, he believes that every dog deserves his or her own rug. Fortunately, High on Hooking can help all you dog parents and grandparents with that. Finally, Tynan will do pretty much anything if he believes that food will be involved. Yes, he did get a treat after his photo shoot.
We’ve got another photo or two. This is a mug rug my niece requested after seeing other mug rug sets on my Facebook pages. In this case, she sent a pic of the mug for me to work from.
Happy “customers” make me happy. 🙂
Very cute mug for your little relative! You always make me want to hook and I haven’t for a long time! Next to finish is the dip dyed pillow I started in a class 3 (?) years ago! I need to concentrate on it ( no watching TV) hence it sits around on the frame.
I am trying to finish the Jack’s Chain quilt top as I am getting bored with all the sewing. And on and on!
I do have a fun project to do for my friend with the quilt store in Hilton Head, though I won’t blog about it until it “debuts” at her store… (I have so much to do but I think I got hornswaggled inot saying I would do it!)
;-D
I hear you, Deb. I prefer to work on AND finish one project at a time, but things get in the way. In the midst of 2 rugs now, one has to be done in a few weeks (hooking only). Yet still need to start work on mug rugs and other smaller items for the selling season. One good thing, my guild has a 3-day retreat next week in town. Hoping to get a lot done. If they don’t distract me! 🙂
WE plan on blinders between us during the retreat. If we all concentrate on moving our hooks as much as we like to share, I think Tynan will have a stack to sit on at the end of the three days.
I have just one of the many rugs in progress to finish, and when it is done–I plan for Wednesday, I will have my three rugs ready to enter into Fiesta. (Two are done.)
I already have the next project wool/fabric dyed and ready. I can hardly wait, but Laura is teaching me discipline!!
Yeah, blinders. Ha! I don’t even know what to enter besides the Tynan rug. Have to see what I made last year. How’s tomorrow looking?
